Zaha Hadid is renowned internationally for her hyper-contemporary and audacious architectural projects.

Over the last decade she has also been commissioned to design limited edition consumer products by high-end manufacturers including Established & Sons, Artemide and B&B Italia. 

Designed in 2005 and only manufactured for one year, "Crevasse" is a paradigm of Hadid's oeuvre. 

The vase's body and proportions alludes to several of Hadid's completed structures. 

References aside, the vase is a sleek and chic piece of functional sculpture made of mirror polished stainless steel. 

Owning a work by Zaha Hadid, a true "starchitect", is no easy feat.

Very few pieces are on the market and prices at auction are astoundingly high (a cocktail table sold at Philips last December for $90,000)
