"Cross My Heart" is arguably Bev Hisey's most luxurious yet simultaneously subtle carpet design. 

Upon close inspection the viewer notices that the "abstract pattern" in the center of the rug (composed of hand-knotted silver silk) is actually a intricate fauvist-like rendering of the human heart. 

Not since Edward Fields, has there been a carpet designer as inventive and interesting as Bev Hisey. 

"Cross My Heart" is another paradigm from her oeuvre of art for the floor.
