American artist George Condo (b. 1957) is known for his surrealist figures that allude to Old Master painting, American caricature, and Greek mythology. His subject matter often alternates between sinister and playful.

His work has been exhibited internationally and he is represented by Xavier Hufkens (Brussels) and Galerie Bruno Bischofberger (Switzerland) amongst others. The Museum of Modern Art has five of his works in their permanent collection. 

Condo is also seriously collected by Kanye West. Condo’s paintings were used for several of Kanye West’s CDs released in 2010.
