The black line that contours the edge of these tables is macassar ebony inlany. 

Remarkably light but structurally sound...and yes the body is solid, laminated mahogany. 

The top is quartered sapelle with subtle beautifully grained reddish coloring.

In an era of mass-produced derivative and disposable furniture, Reed's style and skill are traits to cherish.

Reed  studied and perfected his craft at Conestoga College (Kitchener, Ontario) and the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship (Rockport, Maine). At CFC he was chosen for their fellowship program and later an Artist in Residence.

These tables are why Reed Hansuld is the latest contemporary furniture designer to join the Caviar20 stable.
