VASA MIHICH "PASTEL RAM" 1977
It's not glass.
It's hand-crafted acrylic by Vasa Mihich.
It's luminous elusive colors trick the eye while casting candy/whisper shadows.
After "Monument" this is the largest, and one of the earliest, Vasa sculptures we've handled.
Like the best of his work, as one moves around the piece, different regions of color present themselves, overlap with another or disappear.
"Pastel Ram" is composed of very subtle sky blue, purple grape and papaya orange. The colors are both rich yet vaporous. This solid rectangle is impressive upwards and just as intriguing vertically.
This is a very rare early piece (1977!) that was recently repolished by the artist in Los Angeles. Vintage importance combined with brand-new condition.
