Just as fashion designers became household names in 1980’s, product designers achieved a similar level of universal fame in the following decade.

Phillipe Starck remains one of the best known, sought-after and imitated multi-disciplinary designers. 

His resume is chockablock full of distinctive gadgets, furniture and memorable commercial interiors that have delighted both the mainstream and design cognoscenti.

Perhaps a key to Starck’s success is his constant experimentation and production.
