Reed Hansuld is the latest addition to Caviar20's roster of contemporary furniture designers.

In an era of mass-produced derivative and disposable furniture, Reed's style and skill are traits to cherish.

Reed studied and perfected his craft at Conestoga College (Kitchener, Ontario) and the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship (Rockport, Maine). At CFC he was chosen for their fellowship program and later became an Artist in Residence.

His custom-ordered "Stool #1" is impressive for both its form and construction. 

Every angle is remarkable and the overall impression is that the wood form is cantilevered. 

Caviar20 debuted this stool at Art Toronto 2011 to great acclaim.
