We are excited to offer one of Gaetano Sciolari's most iconic and sought after designs.
We christened this gorgeous mini chandelier "Lucite Baton" and will first point out that all the lucite tips are in excellent condition.
If you are interested in 20th century lighting Gaetano Sciolari is an essential name to familiarize yourself with.
During the 1950's Sciolari's designs were manufactured by top firms including Stilnovo (in Milan) and Lightolier (in New York).
His creations from this era have been documented in many of the Taschen books on lighting and design.
Beginning in the late 1960's Sciolari began to manufacture his own lighting creations.
His lamps and chandeliers were highly successful with high-end interior designers on both sides of the Atlantic.
Caviar20 recommends a visit to 1stdibs to get a sense of Sciolari's oeuvre...and the high prices they command on the secondary market.
Comparables fetch upwards of $3,500 each on 1stdibs. Caviar20 for great design and great value.
