ROUGIER "TULIP" ACRYLIC TABLE LAMP
Caviar20 has been on the hunt for a good example of a Rougier lamp for quite a while. This Montreal-based company is best known for their large lamps, often in the shape of shells or petals, made of a strong translucent acrylic.
Rougier’s best work is from the late 1970‘s and 1980‘s. Today, there are about a dozen examples of their lighting on 1stdibs with prices from $800 to over $4,000 for single lamps.
Caviar20 offers great design at great prices. This is a paradigm of Rougier, with four pearlized “petals” in flawless condition. Decorative, sculptural, and sexy.
Acrylic. Excellent condition.
Canada, circa 1980.
