MARY BARANOWSKI-LOWDEN "DAYLILY"
In Mary Baranowski-Lowden's artworks, the artist draws inspiration
from memories of the personal and domestic spheres -- her home, her
children, and her garden. Her precise yet delicate depictions of flora
and fauna demonstrate her mastery of the etching process. Quiet and
understated, with a muted palette and unfussy renderings, Mary's
aesthetic has a meditative quality that is eloquent in its simplicity. Mary Baranowski-Lowden (b. 1954) was educated at Concordia University
(Montreal) and University of Calgary. Her work has been exhibited in
the United States, Romania, Germany, and Japan. Examples of Mary's work
can be found in the collections of the Florean Museum, Romania; Scuola
Internazionale di Grafica Venezia, Italy; Scurfield Hall, Alberta; Ernst
& Young, Calgary; and Donald Club, Toronto. She currently resides
in Wakefield, Quebec. This work is available for purchase unframed.
