ACHILLE CASTIGLIONI "TARAXACUM 88" CHANDELIER
A bubble machine.
A glass flower.
Whatever you see when you first encounter "Taraxacum 88", the impresionable chandelier by Achille Castiglioni, what is certain is that you will remember it.
The name is a latin translation of a "Dandelion". When illuminated "Taraxacum 88" has a magical glow.
The structure is made of 20 pressed and polished aluminum triangles which house the 60 bulbs and also create an amazing reflection of light.
The Castiglioni brothers contribution to 20th century design is impressive having designed for most of the major Italian design firms including Zanotta, Paltrona Frau and of course Flos.
While "Taraxacum 88" was designed in the late eighties, only in recent years has been established as a design icon.
Brand new examples of the authentic version by Flos retail for upwards of $5,000. Caviar20 offers you great design at great value.
