ALDO TURA "LACQUERED GOATSKIN ICE BUCKET"
One of the most sumptuous (and surprising) examples of mid-century Italian design are the creations of Aldo Tura.
Tura pioneered the application of fine hides on furniture and accessories (decades before Karl Springer)
His creations are highly sought-after on the secondary market. They epitomize Italian innovation and glamour.
Examples of Tura's work sell for thousands at auction. Similar ice-buckets retail for upwards of $1,200 on 1stdibs.
Caviar20 great design and great value.
This example is notable for the original sticker label on the bottom. The lacquered goatskin body is in excellent condition.
Note: Fine hairline scratch on the brass lid.
