B&B ITALIA PAIR OF "IUTA" CHAIRS, 2006
Since its inception in 1966 B&B Italia has been renowned for creating some of the most luxurious and progressive furniture.
Over the years they have collaborated with or commissioned the design world's top talent including Patricia Urquiola, Gaetano Pesce, Zaha Hadid, Marcel Wanders, Jean-Marie Massaud and Ettore Sottsass to mention a few.
The "Iuta" armchair, designed in 2006 by Antonia Citterio, is a fresh design icon from B&B Italia.
A homage to Charles Eames, "Iuta" references many of his greatest designs both in form and detail yet realizes them in a contemporary way.
The most impressive element of the chair is the molded technical wire mesh shell with profiled aluminum edging.
The base is polished chrome.
This pair of chairs, purchased in 2009, is in mint condition.
A single new "Iuta" chair retails for upwards of $1,600 and requires a minimum lead time of 3 months.
