SHIRO KURAMATA "FLOWER VASE #1" 1989

$1,500 $1,250

Shiro Kuramata is one of the 20th century's most revered and distinctive designers.

His creations manifest an intersection between minimalism and an irreverence/playfulness similar to Memphis.

Kuramata's designs epitomize "sculptural furniture" - many of his works take conventional forms but dismiss functionality.

The "How High the Moon" chair from 1986 (made of wire steel mesh)  is a prime example.

"Vase #1" is a fantastic piece from Kuramata's oeuvre and instantly recognizable by Design aficionados, however examples in this pale metallic pink are quite rare.
