CURTIS JERE "WAVELENGTH" WALL SCULPTURE
Curtis Jere's 1983 "Wavelength" has been one of Caviar20's most popular pieces in 2011.
It debuted at IDS appearing in the David and Glen Dixon installation "Sibling Rivalry".
The graceful and uplifting sculpture was sold immediately after, but our client agreed to lend it to Chatelaine magazine for an editorial feature.
Curtis Jere has become very sought on the vintage market. In 2009 Jonathan Adler reissued a number of iconic designs by Curtis Jere. Perusing 1stdibs.com it is pretty remarkable that Jere sculptures can now command upwards of $5,000.
“Wavelength” is perfectly proportioned to be hung above a bed (as pictured in Chatelaine...no comment on the pillows).
But rest assured it will be a dynamic piece of decorative sculpture wherever it is placed.
It is also possible to hang it vertically on a slight angle.
Priced at less than $1,500 this piece is excellent value with investment potential.
