Dorothy Knowles (b. 1927) is a leading Canadian artist renowned for her impressionistic landscapes.

The influence of the Color Field movement is undeniable in her work; Knowles was married to William Perehudoff and was mentored in the 1960's by critic Clement Greenberg. 

Her work is cherished across Canada and can be found in numerous corporate and public collections including the National Gallery of Canada and the McMichael Gallery.

This is a fine example of one of Dorothy Knowles' works on paper.
