FORNASETTI SET OF 5 "LOVE" SMALL PLATES
If you are familiar with Fornasetti, you can easily recognize some of his most famous motifs; Themes & Variations, the architectural series, surrealist birds and various interpretations of both historical and mythological characters.
One of the most fascinating elements of Fornasetti's oeuvre is how broad it was.
Collectors are constantly surprised when discovering new patterns.
"Love" is a paradigm of this. To our knowledge it is one of the only examples where Fornasetti used original (?) English text.
"Love and a red nose can't be hid"
"Love is ne'er without jealousy"
"Love is shown by many a bitter sign"
"Who loves me well loves my dog also"
"Seek your salve where you got your sore"
If you love Fornasetti, your collection will love acquiring these plates.
