Ian Wallace (b. 1943) is one of the key figures of the so-called "Vancouver School" - recognized for not only his own artistic practice but being an important influence on the group's associates and their unique form of conceptual photo-based art.

If you are interested in Rodney Graham, Jeff Wall or Ken Lum - then you can identify the traces of Ian Wallace's work in their output.

Wallace was a noted professor of Art History, focusing on contemporary practices first at the University of British Columbia and later on, for over 30 years, at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a domestically-proportioned paradigm of the artist's work - ideal for a young collector interested in the Vancouver School.
