KENT MONKMAN "THE TRIUMPH OF MISCHIEF" CATALOG

$1,250

From 2007 through the fall of 2010 a large solo exhibition of Kent Monkman's artwork toured Canada with stops in Hamilton, Toronto, Halifax, Calgary and Victoria.

Part of the enthusiasm and curiosity towards Monkman's work derives from, in the words of the curators, "an intense debate that surrounds the complex and sometimes conflicting issues involved in the representation of First Nations peoples in history."

The widely successful exhibition was entitled "The Triumph of Mischief" and an eponymous catalog (covered in a tan colored faux-suede) was published, including a limited edition version of 100 copies.

This highly-sought after limited edition, offered by Caviar20, includes an 8" x 10" black and white photographic print signed and numbered by Kent Monkman entitled "The Star".

Besides being a fascinating document on Kent Monkman's work, this catalog and photograph, present an opportunity to purchase an affordable multiple by one of Canada's most revered and collected contemporary artists.
