MAZZEGA "CYCLONE BOWL"
Along with Vistosi, Mazzega is one of our favorite glass studios still in operation on the island of Murano in Italy.
We are particularly interested in their designs from the late 1960's through the 1980's - their output was a curious combination of understated and glam, sculptural and technically innovative.
Their best pieces explore texture and technique - We love the impressive design of the swirling white band creating a decorative cyclone affect.
Whether you use this glass piece as a domestic sculpture or an impressive fruit bowl - we bet this piece will inspire further investigation and collecting of 20th century Italian glass.
