MICHAEL HAYDEN "TRI-FOUNTAIN" LITHOGRAPH, 1976
Michael Hayden (b.1943) is one of the pioneers of incorporating neon into sculpture, especially large public and architectural installations.
If you're from Toronto, you will certainly recall Hayden's impressive "All Things Being Equal" (1978) sculpture, which stood on the outside corner of the Art Gallery of Ontario (at Beverly and Dundas) for many years until recently.
If you've travelled through Chicago, you may have encountered Hayden's massive neon-ceiling installation at the O'Hare International Airport, appropriately titled "Sky's The Limit" (1987)
We are excited to be offering this domestically proportioned work by Michael Hayden that perfectly captures the artist's interest in form and color.
