Wallpaper* (again) profiled Tahir Mahmood in April, 2014 aptly describing his unique aesthetic:

"Bauhaus and Mughal architecture don’t often appear together in the same sentence; less often still when talking about complementary design influences. 1920's Bauhaus, with its pared-back functionalism, seems quite at odds with the grand ornaments and excessive decoration of 16th-century Indian architecture, and yet these are precisely the two aesthetics that lie at the heart of designer Tahir Mahmood’s new collection. Rosewood and brass are as common as powder-coating and colour-blocking in this collection, in which age-old objects have been given contemporary facelifts. Particularly of note is the 'Gutta' pestle and mortar (which rings like a temple bell when you grind"

"Gutta" is another fantastic addition to Tahir's impressive and inimitable collection of Mortar & Pestles.
