Vasa Mihich is a renowned artist who is known for his sleek, colorful and captivating acrylic sculptures.

A senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he has taught color theory for many years.

For nearly nearly 50 years he has been working in acrylics; whether on canvas or through sculpture.

His sculpture, with their different geometric planes suspended in acrylic are dynamic and endlessly fascinating.

Any position leads to dramatic color shadows, and if the viewer circles around the piece, different regions of color presented themselves, overlapped with another or disappeared.

His work is very sought-after on the secondary market and hard-to-come by.

"Giant Baton" is a unique large scale sculpture created in 2012 - a super-sized version of his "Baton: Hawaii" piece.

Modelled by singer Maude Sly and photographed by Erin Leydon.
