In the story of 20th century Italian glass Venini is both “The Beatles” and “The Rolling Stones” when compared to their contemporaries.
Venini was not only popular, creative and rebellious but had a tremendous influence on glass-making internationally.
They produced an array of innovative and unprecedented creations in glass notably lighting and decorative objects.
These were once fantastic hand-blown vases which have been professionally drilled to accommodate wiring for lamps.
Made of a translucent aubergine glass, these lamps/vessels posses the uplifting elegance that Venini is known for.
