VERNER PANTON "CURVE" 13FT PANEL, 1969
If James Brown was the hardest working man in showbiz...then Verner Panton is his soul brother in the design world.
Some of Panton's greatest hits include the Panton Chair, the Heart Chair, the Cone Chair and the Flower Pot Pendant.
Panton also designed some amazing graphics used in his interiors and other designs.
This piece of fabric which is over 13 feet long (!!!) is of his most famous pattern: CURVE
Mira X (also known as Mira Spectrum), a Danish company, produced hand-printed wall panels and fabric using Panton’s designs from the end of the 1960’s.
Both the form and palette of these panels complimented the light fixtures and furniture that Panton was designing.
Panton was less interested in the object, but creating a fully-realized and cohesive interior.
Today, this wall panel is simultaneously an important piece from Panton’s oeuvre and an amazing decorative element for the home.
To learn more about Panton’s oeuvre, Caviar20 highly recommends his “Online Museum” at VernerPanton.com.
Note: The fabric has been sewn shut - so if opened the pieces would double in width.
