We'll admit that we weren't sure about these vases...We're they awkward or awesome?
Two visitors, both who work internationally and have excellent taste found this pair of Villeroy & Boch vases at the loft and insisted that they were quite special. So here they are!
Villeroy & Boch was founded in France in 1748 producing ceramics.
In the early 19th century they expanded to Luxembourg and Germany broadening their output of high-end objects.
Nearly 275 years after their founding, Villeroy & Boch is still renowned for high-end serving pieces, ceramics and glass.
This pair of vases, from the 1980's has a fascinating faux-denim or even tie-die coloring on the body.
This rims have a curious, highly textured orange and blue finish that recalls the West German "Hot Lava" aesthetic of the 1960's.
If you're looking for a sculptural decorative object with a lot of character, texture and history - look no further
