Caviar20 is excited to be offering this fantastic sculpture by the inimitable Louise Nevelson - one of the most revered and unique sculptors of the 20th century.

Her work has had an undeniable influence on a host of significant artists including Tony Cragg and Louise Bourgeois.

Over the last few years there has been tremendous momentum in the renewed interest and appreciation of her work. In November of 2014, a new auction record of just below $1 million was established for one of Nevelson's signature black construction sculptures. Yet she still remains undervalued when compared with her male contemporaries (such as Joseph Cornell or Jack Chamberlain)

While Nevelson is famed for her sculptures in painted wood, she also experimented with other materials such as cast resin, cast paper and here in bronze.

Nevelson only created a small number of multiple sculptures. This is an intimate sized example that has major presence and captures the essence of her oeuvre.
