FORNASETTI "CUPOLA DI MILANO" CONVEX LUCITE TRAY
Architecture, specifically Italian designs from both the Renaissance and antiquity, is one of Fornasetti's favorite and most popular motifs. He illustrated and applied images of buildings to an array of consumer products including wallpaper, ceramics, serving pieces, and even fabric.
This a piece of Fornasetti from the beloved "Cupola" series (“Dome” in English) with a great trompe l'oeil element. The domed image of this Milanese building fits perfectly into the convex element of the lucite tray.
This piece looks elegant and charming either flat or displayed upright.
A great gift for someone who adores Italian 20th century design.
