JORGEN GAMMELGAARD "TIP TOP" PENDANT
A long-time professor of furniture design at the Danish Royal Academy, Jorgen Gammelgaard was a remarkable "behind the scenes" designer.
Gammelgaard never opened his own studio, preferring to work as a design consultant in Scandinavia. The number of major designers he worked for is incredible: Grete Jalk, Ole Wanscher, Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaerholm to mention a few.
"Tip Top" was one of the only designs by Gammelgaard that was produced under his own name and was a great success across Europe for several decades.
Its form is both sculptural and beautifully diffuses light.
