PAIR OF LARGE "TURBO MARMORATUS" POLISHED SHELLS
Did you know that the Turbo Marmoratus shells were first identified in 1758?
This beautiful remnant from the ocean is essentially a discarded residence of a giant snail.
Quite rare, they can be found in tropical reefs near Western Australia and in the Indian Ocean such as off the coasts of Madagascar and Tanzania.
These examples are considered quite large for their type and have an exceptional sheen to them.
Now that the marine biology lesson is over, we can recommend with way more confidence that these glam Turbo shells will look fantastic in a sleek vignette, on a bookshelf, desk or vanity.
Polished to an iridescent mother of pearl finish with fantastic hues of pink, white and blue.
