Jack Bush
Jack Bush (1909–1977) is known as one of Canada’s most successful abstract artists of the 20th century. A graduate of OCAD and a key member of the Painters Eleven collective, he was a rare Toronto-based artist who achieved an unrivalled level of success internationally after receiving acclaim by esteemed critic Clement Greenberg. Bush represented Canada at the 1967 Sao Paolo Biennale, and the Art Gallery of Ontario toured a retrospective of his work in 1976.
