Weegee
Arthur Fellig, the inimitable and notorious photographer better known as Weegee, is famed for documenting all facets of New York City's night life; from high culture to quotidian revellers. His images of the city's crimes, mishaps and tragedies are iconic and highly influential. With the publication of his photo books Naked City (1945) and Weegee's People (1946), his fame expanded beyond New York and news circles.
