In the "Superman Triangle" planes of ruby red, primary blue and cinnabar acrylic interact, overlap and merge into new shades and compositions in this impressive sculpture from Vasa Mihich.

On occasion Vasa will explore his "dark side" and embrace serious, saturated hues. Here Vasa plays with deep reds and juxtaposes them with a vibrant blue.

And like the best of Vasa's work, when you look at the sculpture from another angle or position you discover different shades and colors projected or receding within the work and their phantom shadows.

If you are familiar with Caviar20 you probably know that Vasa was a Senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he taught color theory for many years.

This is a fine example of Vasa's work from the early 1990's in his most iconic form: the triangle.
