VASA MIHICH "SWISS BAR" SCULPTURE, 2014
This is one of the most dynamic Vasa sculptures we've ever handled.
From every position the colors and density appear completely different.
In essence the sculpture is a long equilateral triangle with 5 razor thin triangular slices (in orange, yellow, magenta, forest green and blue) stacked internally.
However depending on your perspective, the slices overlap and interact creating solid color sections eliminating the appearance of transparency.
A mini-masterpiece by the inimitable Vasa Mihich.
Vasa is a Senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he has taught color theory for many years.
For nearly nearly 50 years he has been working in acrylics; whether on canvas or through sculpture.
Indulge and treat yourself to this fantastic desktop sculpture.

Very good condition
PS. Why do we call it "Swiss Bar"? It reminded us of fat Toblerone. Yum.
